The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh H.E. Rear Admiral Akhtar Habib, has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Faisal Naseem, this morning at the President’s Office.
During the call, the Vice President welcomed the Ambassador and expressed good wishes from the Government and the people of Maldives to the Government and the people of Bangladesh.
Emphasizing on the strong bilateral ties that exist between the Maldives and Bangladesh, The Vice President and the Bangladeshi Ambassador expressed interests to further strengthen the existing relations and to work together to enhance collaborations in areas that are of mutual benefit to both countries.
Furthermore, the Vice President extended gratitude to the Bangladeshi Government for their continuous support and assistance provided to the people of Maldives, especially for the internship opportunities given to Maldivians students every year.
