Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Parliament pays courtesy call on the President

The Speaker of the Parliament, Hon. Gasim Ibrahim, and Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Hon. Moosa Manik paid a courtesy call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, today at the President’s Office.

During the call, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Parliament congratulated President Solih on his assumption of office.

During the call President Solih expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Speaker of the Parliament, Gasim Ibrahim, and Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Moosa Manik for organizing the historical event of the Presidential Inauguration so efficiently. He further stated that the he hopes that the Parliament of Maldives will demonstrate perfect example in depicting the components of democracy.

Speaking at the meeting, the Speaker of the Parliament assured the President that the Parliament will give full support in maintaining peace and stability in the nation.
