President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has arrived in Hanimaadhoo Island this morning, as part of his current visit to some Islands of North and South Thiladhummathi Atolls.
Upon arrival, the President was warmly welcomed by the island's community.
As part of his visit, the President is scheduled to inaugurate the Sewerage System in Hanimaadhoo Island.
President Yameen began his three-day visit to some islands in the North and South Thiladhummathi Atolls on Tuesday. During this visit, President Yameen visited Nolhivaram Island and inaugurated the services of sewerage system in the island. He also took part in the ceremony held to mark the completion of beach protection project in Hoarafushi Island and inaugurated the services of sewerage system in Ihavandhoo Island.
The President visited Dhiddhoo Island on Wednesday, and inaugurated the island’s clean drinking water services and housing project, and attended the ceremony held to mark the completion of the island’s beach protection project and road development project. Moreover, President Yameen initiated the services of sewerage system in Kelaa Island and inaugurated the marina style jetty in Baarah Island.
