President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has arrived in Nolhivaram Island this morning, as part of his current visit to some Islands of North and South Thiladhummathi Atolls.
Upon arrival, the President was warmly welcomed by the island's community.
As part of his visit, the President is scheduled to initiate the services of sewerage system of Nolhivaram Island.
The President will then visit Hoarafushi Island, and take part in the ceremony to mark the completion of the island’s beach protection project, following which he will visit Ihavandhoo Island and initiate the services of the island’s sewerage system.
The President will also visit Dhiddhoo Island and inaugurate the island’s clean drinking water services, attend the ceremony held to mark the completion of the island’s beach protection project, the completion of the road development project and inaugurate the housing project in Dhiddhoo. Moreover, President Yameen will initiate the services of sewerage system in Kelaa Island, inaugurate the marina style jetty in Baarah Island, and initiate the services of sewerage system of Hanimaadhoo Island.
