President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has arrived in Milandhoo Island this morning, as part of his current visit to some Islands of North Miladhummadulu Atoll.
Upon arrival, the President was warmly welcomed by the island's community.
As part of his visit, the President will inaugurate the island’s sewerage system.
President Yameen began his two-day visit to North Miladhummadulu Atoll yesterday. As part of his visit, the President visited Bileffahi Island and attended the ceremony held to mark the completion of its beach protection project. He next visited Kanditheemu Island, where he inaugurated the island’s harbour. As the last stop of his tour yesterday, President Yameen visited Funadhoo Island and took part in the ceremony held to mark the completion of the airport land reclamation project and the commencement of the airport development project.
