President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has arrived in Funadhoo Island, as part of his current visit to some Islands of North Miladhummadulu Atoll.
Upon arrival, the President was warmly welcomed by the island's community.
As part of his visit, the President will attend the ceremony to mark the completion of the airport land reclamation and the commencement of the runway project in the Island.
President Yameen visited Bileffahi Island this morning where he attended the ceremony to mark the completion of beach protection project, and visited Kanditheemu Island this afternoon where he inaugurated the habour of the island.
During his two day tour, the President will visit Milandhoo Island tomorrow, and inaugurate the sewerage system in the Island.
