President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has this evening launched the book titled “Saaskafu ge 17” (Millennium’s 17); a book compiled by the administration chronicling the highlights of the past 17 years.
President Yameen launched the book at the 'Welcome 2018' music show held this evening. The show was organized by the Ministry of Tourism in association with the Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. (MITDC).
The Saaskafu ge 17 book highlights areas such as governance and administration in the Maldives; finance, economy, citizenship and urban development; crises and disasters; domestic affairs and peace; education, health, youth and sports; and nationality, sociality, media and technology.
At the Welcome 2018 show, the President was accompanied by First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim, Cabinet Ministers, and senior officials of the government. The show was open to the general public.
