First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim has today met with the First Lady of Malaysia, Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor, as part of her current visit to the Maldives.
The Prime Minister and First Lady of Malaysia are on an official visit to the Maldives, at the invitation of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim.
During the meeting held at Mulee-aage, discussions were focused on social work and improvement of social development, including advocating for the rights of children with special needs, and especially children with autism.
First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim commended Malaysia for the impressive work done for autistic children. She noted that Maldives can learn a lot from Malaysia in this area.
At the meeting, First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim was accompanied by Minister of Gender and Family, Aminath Zenysha Shaheed Zaki.
