The Chairman and CEO of international trading company DP World Group, Mr. Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, has paid a courtesy call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, this morning.
During the call, President Yameen expressed Maldives' keen interest to work with the UAE in strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries. Discussions centred on the investment potential in establishing state of the art port facilities within the Maldives.
The President and CEO also discussed innovative business solutions that uniquely address the challenges and opportunity inherent in the Maldives, with a view to swiftly move forward towards mutually beneficial implementation.
President Yameen is on a 3-day Official visit to the United Arab Emirates where he will meet key leaders in order to further strengthen and diversify trade, increase technical and financial assistance, and further accelerate socioeconomic ties between the UAE and the Maldives.
