President decides on the Maldives’ participation in the "Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol"

On advice from the cabinet, the President has decided on the Maldives’ participation in the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol. The deliberations were made at today’s meeting of the Cabinet, on a paper presented by the Ministry of Environment and Energy.

The Kigali Amendment endorses to reduce the production and consumption of HFCs.
