The Ambassador of the United States of America, His Excellency Atul Keshap paid a courtesy call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, this morning, at the President’s Office.

The discussions during the call revolved on the issues of mutual interest and on exploring different avenues of cooperation and partnership between the two countries.

The call concluded with assurances for greater cooperation and appreciation for the long history of continued relations between the USA and Maldives.

The President was accompanied at the call by the Minister of State for Foreign Relations at the President’s Office, H.E. Mohamed Naseer and the Foreign Secretary, H.E. Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed.

The Ambassador was accompanied at the call by the Political Officer, Mr. Patric Tillou and the Economic Chief, Mr. Partha Mazumdar of the Embassy of the United States of America.
