The Ambassador of Thailand, H. E. Mr Nopporn Adchariyavanich has paid a farewell call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, this morning at the President’s Office.
During the call, the President thanked Ambassador Adchariyavanich for his close cooperation with the Government of Maldives during his term as Ambassador, and conveyed his good wishes for the Ambassador’s next assignment. The President also expressed his hope for expanding and deepening the existing partnership in trade, investment and business between the Maldives and Thailand, for the common benefit of both countries and their peoples.
The Ambassador in response concurred with the President on further strengthening the historical, friendly relations based on mutual trust and understanding that exist between the Maldives and Thailand in the years ahead.
The President was accompanied at the call by the Minister of State for Foreign Relations at the President’s Office, H.E. Mohamed Naseer, and Foreign Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, while the Ambassador was accompanied by the Honorary Consul of Thailand Accredited to the Maldives, Mohamed Salih.
