The Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Maldives, His Excellency Rear Admiral Kazi Sarwar Hossain (OSP, ncc, psc), paid the farewell call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, this afternoon, at the President’s Office.
During the call, the President expressed appreciation for the valuable assistance and continued support rendered by the Ambassador to the Maldives during his tenure. The President also conveyed his confidence in working closely with the Government of Bangladesh to strengthen the long-existing relations with greater collaboration between the two counties.
The Ambassador conveyed appreciation for the cooperation extended by the Government of Maldives and expressed his confidence that the same level of cooperation will be provided to his successor. The Ambassador also conveyed best wishes to the President and the Government of Maldives.
The President was accompanied at the farewell call by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE. Dr. Mohamed Asim and the Minister of State for Foreign Relations at the President’s Office, H.E Mr. Mohamed Naseer.
