The Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Maldives, His Excellency Rear Admiral Kazi Sarwar Hossain (OSP, ncc, psc), has paid his farewell call on Vice President Abdulla Jihad, this morning, at the President’s Office.

During the call, the Vice President expressed gratitude for the valuable assistance and continued support provided by the Government of Bangladesh, especially for trainings in the fields of health and defence. The Vice President noted with confidence that the close fraternal relations between the Maldives and Bangladesh will continue to grow in the years ahead. The Vice President also thanked the Ambassador for the cooperation extended to the Government and the people of Maldives during the Ambassador’s tenure.

The Bangladeshi Ambassador conveyed appreciation for the cooperation extended by the Government of Maldives and expressed his confidence that the same level of cooperation will be provided to his successor. The Ambassador also conveyed best wishes to the Vice President and the Government of Maldives for the years ahead.

The Vice President was accompanied at the farewell call by the Minister of State for Foreign Relations at the President’s Office, H.E Mr. Mohamed Naseer and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Hussain Niyaaz.
