The Social Council briefed the local media, on the government's ongoing social projects during a briefing session held this afternoon at the President’s Office. Speaking on behalf of the council, Vice President Abdulla Jihad stated that President Yameen wanted to cultivate an inclusive society without leaving anyone behind.

During the Press conference, Minister of Education, Dr. Aishath Shiham highlighted the government's Education Initiatives and the work done by the government to achieve an all-inclusive education system, where all the students are provided equal opportunity for education. Additionally, all teachers will be qualified at a Degree level within the next five years she said.

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Ziyad shed light on the work done by the government to promote greater awareness among citizens on Islam. He also stated that the government had started construction of 30 mosques all over Maldives and that, work on almost 15 mosques were already complete.

Minister of Home Affairs, Azleen Ahmed highlighted the administrations tireless efforts towards saving the nation's youth from drugs and building frameworks in jail where prisoners could contribute to national productivity. He also touched on efforts to create structured mechanisms towards disciplining convicts before bringing them back to the society.

Minister of Gender and Family, Aminath Zenysha Shaheed Zaki briefed reporters on ongoing projects undertaken by the Ministry of Gender and Family and outlined the Ministry's 100 day action plan.
