Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Maldives, Mr Choi Ki-Chui, paid a courtesy call on President Mohamed Nasheed today.
Discussions at the meeting were focused on further strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries and cooperating on multilateral issues like climate change. The Ambassador and the President discussed projects in the Maldives in the energy and housing sectors.
On international matters, the Ambassador noted Maldives’ strong support for peace and stability in the Korean peninsular. The President assured the Ambassador of Maldives’ full support in whatever way possible to ensure that a lasting settlement is reached.
