President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has, this Sunday afternoon, officially inaugurated the Dhivehi audio visual translation of the holy Quran, during a ceremony held at the Presidents Office.
The translation was compiled by Public Service Media with the aim of creating religious awareness among Maldivians.
During the ceremony, the President presented plaques of appreciation to the two main contributors Dr. Mohamed Haneef and Mr. Ayyoub Ali towards completing the audio visual translation.
The Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Ziyad, Chairman of Public Service Media Mr. Ibrahim Umar Manik and Managing Director of Public Service Media Mr Ibrahim Khaleel also participated in the ceremony.
