Deliberations on the Maldives are currently underway at today's meeting of the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group (CMAG).
Representatives of the Maldivian Government briefed the body on the Maldives’ current political climate, the Government initiated all-party talks and steps being taken by the Government towards strengthening the democratic process. Representatives also shared with members of the CMAG, the efforts being undertaken by the Government towards economic development, social well-being and ensuring peace & harmony.
The Government of Maldives is being represented at the meeting by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Dunya Maumoon, and Attorney General, Uz. Mohamed Anil.
