The Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture, Dr. Mohamed Shainee called on the Prime Minister of Solomon Islands, Hon. Manasseh Sogavare this morning at the Prime Minister’s office. During the call, the Prime Minister explored areas of mutual cooperation to strengthen friendly relations between Maldives and Solomon Islands.
During the call, the Minister shared the Government’s agenda on economic development and tertiary healthcare initiated by H.E Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. The Minister also described the measures taken by the Government of Maldives for sustainable fisheries and stated the Governments position on environment and climate change as an Island Nation and as the Chair of the Alliance of Small Island States.
The call was also attended by Senior Desk Officer, Ms. Leesha Mohamed from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Maldives.
