President Appoints Members to Tax Appeal Tribunal

President Mohamed Nasheed today appointed members to the Tax Appeal Tribunal at a function held at the President’s Office. The members appointed are:

- Ibrahim Afeef
- Abdul Salaam Arif
- Nasrulla Jameel
- Ahmed Saavee
- Hassan Zuhair

Speaking at the function, President Nasheed emphasised the importance of taxation system in the Maldives. At the same time, he said, it was also important to investigate complaints related to taxation. He expressed confidence that the members of the tribunal would fulfil their responsibilities diligently.

Tax Appeal Tribunal will adjudicate tax related cases submitted in accordance with the Tax Administration Act and other Taxation Acts.
