President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has dismissed Vice President Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Ghafoor as the Chair of the board, managing investments of the Special Economic Zones of Maldives, and Co-Chair of the Economic and Youth Council. The council and board will now be chaired under the direct supervision of President Yameen.
President Yameen disclosed his decision while addressing the nation this morning, regarding the current situation in the Maldives.
