President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has officially opened the Raa Maduvvari Branch of Fenaka Corporation Limited, the island’s new power station.
Speaking to the people of Maduvvari this afternoon, the President appealed for the full support of all the citizens of the island in carrying out developmental projects. He pointed out that such developmental milestones reflected on all the people of the island, despite one’s political orientation.
Highlighting the Government’s electoral pledge of improved public services, the President noted that Fenaka Corporation was working to fulfill the Government’s scheme of round the clock electricity in all inhabited islands.
In his speech, President Yameen emphasized the importance of being economically independent, in maintaining our national independence and sovereignty. Continuing on, the President underscored the high priority accorded by the Government in shaping our younger generations to be steadfast and committed to strengthening the country’s economy, without compromising our nationalism.
