President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has declared that the National Flag be flown at half-mast, from 19 August 2015 till the end of 21 August 2015, following the passing away of State Dignitary, former Speaker of the People’s Majlis, and former Minister of Atolls Development, Uz. Abdulla Hameed. He passed away on Tuesday, in Bangalore, India.
The Government has also decided to bring the body of Late Uz. Abdulla Hameed to the Maldives for burial. He will be given a State Funeral.
