President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has stated that sea ambulance services will commence in Villimale within this year. While speaking at the opening ceremony of the Villimale Hospital, the President said that the next step for the Villimale Hospital was to enhance the services and facilities to match the level of the Government Hospital, Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Yameen noted that dialysis services will soon begin for kidney patients, at the Villimale Hospital. Highlighting the steps being taken to develop the health sector, the President clarified that the needful was being done to train personnel to work in the field, and to acquire the adequate facilities that were needed to provide sufficient services to the people.
