President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has extended greetings to the people of Maldives on the commencement of the Holy month of Ramadan.
Highlighting the auspicious nature of this Blessed Month in his message, the President called on everyone to observe Ramadan with earnest piety and through the performance of righteous deeds. He also encouraged the people to devote themselves to the virtuous duties enjoined by Islam, such as the recitation of the Holy Quran.
The President also sent Ramadan greetings to the leaders of Islamic countries.
