President Yameen extends greetings to the Maldivian youth on the occasion of the National Youth Day

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has extended greetings to the Maldivian youth on the occasion of this year’s National Youth Day.

In his message, the President highlighted that National Youth Day, which is to be celebrated annually on 17th November, also marks 365 days since President Yameen took office. Accordingly, President Yameen also extended greetings to the Maldivian people on the occasion of the first anniversary of the present Administration.

Continuing on, the President emphasized the value of youth contributions to the socio-economic development of the country. In this regard, President Yameen underlined the significance afforded by the Government to improving the welfare of young Maldivians, as also highlighted in the Government’s manifesto.

Concluding his message, the President stated that his hope for the nation’s future is the emergence of an economically productive and actively engaged generation of young Maldivians, who remain faithful to the ideals of Islam.
