President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has on Tuesday presented the National Award for Special Achievement. The awards were given at an official function held at Dharubaaruge. The twenty one recipients of the National Award for Special Achievement received a medal and a certificate.

The sixteen individuals who achieved the highest ranking position in a higher academic course or training course are:
Bachelor’s Degree:

4. Mr Ahmed Mihad
5. Ms. Shahaada Ahmed

President Yameen also conferred the President’s Medal for achieving the highest rank position in an international competition or exhibition to Mr Ismail Rasheed.

The President’s Medal was also conferred to Colonel Ahmed Naseem for the outstanding performance of a skill or innovation.
