President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has attended a Maahefun organized by the people of Hulhumale’. The event was held last evening at Ghaazee School.
Speaking at the function, President Yameen said that the Government was committed to addressing the challenges faced by the people of Hulhumale’. In this regard, President Yameen announced that the waiting time at the ferry terminal during the month of Ramadan would be reduced to 10 minutes. He further stated that MTCC was working to increase the number of ferries for the month of Ramadan.
Underscoring that Hulhumale’ development project was a vision of former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, President Yameen emphasized that the island provides immense opportunities for the future development of the country. Speaking in this regard, the President further underscored plans to turn Hulhumale’ into a youth city, as part of his manifesto.
