President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has attended a Maahefun ‎organized by the people of Hulhumale’. The event was held last evening at ‎Ghaazee School. ‎

Speaking at the function, President Yameen said that the Government was ‎committed to addressing the challenges faced by the people of Hulhumale’. ‎In this regard, President Yameen announced that the waiting time at the ‎ferry terminal during the month of Ramadan would be reduced to 10 ‎minutes. He further stated that MTCC was working to increase the number ‎of ferries for the month of Ramadan.‎

Underscoring that Hulhumale’ development project was a vision of former ‎President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, President Yameen emphasized that the ‎island provides immense opportunities for the future development of the ‎country. Speaking in this regard, the President further underscored plans to ‎turn Hulhumale’ into a youth city, as part of his manifesto. ‎
