The new Nepalese Ambassador to the Maldives Mr Sushil Chandra Amatya presented his credentials to President Nasheed today at the President’s Office.
Discussions at the meeting were mainly on the political situation in both countries and the challenges in consolidating democracy in both.
The President expressed confidence that the relations between the two countries would further strengthen during the new Ambassador’s tenure.
The meeting was attended by Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed, Advisor on Political Affairs Hassan Afeef and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmed Shaheed.
