President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom will award the “President’s Medal” to individuals who commit the Quran in its entirety to memory, beginning from this year. The Medal will be awarded at the official reception held to mark Republic Day.
The “President’s Medal” is to be awarded to individuals who memorize the Quran in its entirety, in order to reward them for their lofty achievement, and to encourage more individual to undertake this noble feat.
Two individuals are to be awarded the “President’s Medal” at this year’s Republic Day reception.
