Vice President Dr Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has this afternoon inaugurated SABAH Maldives boutique at Ibrahim Nasir international Airport duty free.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President Jameel said that the availability of local products that reflect the Maldivian identity and culture, to foreign tourists, would positively contribute to development of the country.
The Vice President said that his Government accords a high priority to increase women participation in its developmental endeavors. Speaking in this regard, he underscored that the Government policy was to facilitate more opportunities for women entrepreneurs and increase the role of women in public sector.
At the ceremony held, Vice President Jameel noted that marketing of SABAH Maldives products to the regional airports would further expand the initiative.
In his speech, Vice President reiterated the Government’s commitment towards women empowerment.
