President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has today ratified three bills passed by the People’s Majlis.
The three bills ratified by the President are, “Sole Proprietorship” Bill, “Business Registration” Bill and the Fourth Amendment to the “Maldives Land Act”, passed by the Parliament at the Eighth sitting of its First Session, on 27 April 2014.
Following ratification, the three Acts have been published in the government Gazette.
Third Amendment Bill and the Fourth Amendment Bill to the “Maldives Land Act” were passed by the Parliament on its session on 27 April 2014. The Third Amendment Bill was however, returned to the Parliament today for reconsideration.
