Council to Protect the Rights of People with Disabilities Established

President Mohamed Nasheed has established a council to protect the rights of people with disabilities in accordance with the Article 4(a) of the Act number 8/2010 (Special Needs Act).

Members appointed to the Council are as follows.
1. Mr Ahmed Athif
2. Ms Zimna Thaufeeq
3. Dr Yoosuf Shan
4. Dr Fathimath Nashida
5. Ms Shidhatha Shareef
6. Mr Hamid Nasheed Mohamed
7. Mr Hassan Nizam

Members included in the Council are selected from the areas stated in the Article 5(a) of the Act.
