Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has said that a Quranic Centre will be established in Fuvahmulah, to teach Quran and Islamic studies. The Vice President made this announcement while addressing the people of Fuvahmulah, as part of his visit to the island.
Speaking at the function, Vice President Jameel reiterated the Government commitment to establish an education system based on Islamic values and morality.
Noting that Islam was a gift entrusted to us by Allah, the Vice President said it was our duty to sustain the religion. Continuing in this regard, he said that Islamic guidance was the proudest development and the most valuable achievement of the Maldivians.
