President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a message of sympathy to Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak of Malaysia, following the loss of Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 enroute from Kuala Lampur to Beijing.
The President’s message reads as follows:
“The Government and the people of the Maldives and I are deeply saddened to learn about the loss of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, China, leaving all the passengers and crew, including 38 Malaysian nationals, missing.”
“At this time of national grief and mourning, the Government and the people of the Maldives and I wish to extend our deepest sympathy to Your Excellency, the Government and the brotherly people of Malaysia, and, in particular, the families that were directly affected by this tragedy.”
