President Mohamed Nasheed today met with the Speaker of the People’s Majlis and discussed ways to expedite People’s Majlis’ work. The meeting was held this morning at the President’s Office.
President Nasheed acknowledged the contribution by the Speaker in speeding up the constitutional transitional matters during the past few days.
The President urged the Speaker to continue discussions with political parties represented at the People’s Majlis to speedily resolve their difference and complete interim matters stipulated in the Constitution.
The Speaker briefed the President on the progress made so far in the Majlis.
