Commander of the Royal Academy of Police of Bahrain, Colonel Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, has today paid a courtesy call on Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed.

At the meeting, discussions were held on strengthening the bilateral relations between the Maldives and Bahrain, and the areas where assistance could be further extended.

Colonel Al Khalifa briefed the Vice President on the future projects being planned to strengthen the law enforcement agencies in the Maldives. In this regard, Colonel Al Khalifa spoke about plans for a scholarship scheme for the Maldives Police Service.

Vice President Jameel expressed gratitude to the Bahraini Royal Academy of Police for their assistance, and noted the importance of strengthening the Maldivian police force.
