As part of his visit to Saudi Arabia, Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has met with the Imam of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, Dr. Abdul Rahman Ibn Abdul Aziz as-Sudais.
At the meeting, discussions were held on increasing religious awareness, and strengthening religious unity in the Maldives.
Highlighting the close relations between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia, the Vice President spoke on areas where cooperation could be further extended, and noted that it was an important part of the Government’s policy to consolidate relations with the Arab world.
