President Mohamed Nasheed has said he will fully implement the outcomes from the ongoing talks between the political parties.

Referring to a news report claiming that the President favoured a particular system of governance, the President clarified he did not favour one system over the other.

At a meeting held today with the MDP representatives taking part in the talks, the President said he would not requested to favour one system over the other during the talks.

The President has maintained that to find a long term solution to political impasse, political parties must decide whether they want a presidential or parliamentary system of government.

The President said that if political parties would like to maintain the current Presidential system then it must be an effective presidential system.
