Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has this evening departed on an official visit to Qatar and Kuwait.
Meeting the local media at the Official Jetty prior to his departure, Vice President Jameel said the purpose of the visit was to further strengthen relations with Arab countries. He noted that seeking Arab assistance to safeguard the Islamic identity and social stability of the country was also one of the objectives of the visit.
Continuing in this regard, Vice President said he would seek potential investors for the social development projects of the country during his visit.
Vice President is accompanied by Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and Minister at the President’s Office, Hon. Abdulla Ameen.
