The Social Council has decided to establish a child support trust account in which funds for child support is deposited and made easily available for mothers after the parents’ divorce. The fund will be established by the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Gender.
The Ministry of Health and Gender will also formulate an administrative plan for the distribution of funds. The Ministry is to further create a registry of mothers who receive child support.
