Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has today visited Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital. During his visit, the Vice President met with the management of the hospital and inquired about the challenges being faced in the administration of the hospital, and the development strategies for the hospital.
At the meeting, the Vice President underlined the need to identify the healthcare policies that could be achieved within the first 100 days of the administration. He also stressed on the importance of beginning the implementation of those policies.
Further, discussions were held on the immediate measures to be taken to strengthen the overall health sector of the country. During his tour of the hospital, Vice President Jameel also visited some patients admitted at the hospital.
Speaking to the local media following his visit to IGMH, the Vice President outlined the government’s strategies to improve the health sector.
