The Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Honourable Dr Baldwin Spencer has arrived in the Maldives this morning. He was greeted on arrival at Male’ International Airport by Special Envoy of the President, Ibrahim Hussain Zaki.

Later, on his arrival at Malé Official Jetty, Prime Minister Spencer was greeted by President Mohamed Nasheed.

A bugle call was sounded on the Prime Minister’s arrival, after which President Nasheed accompanied the PM to the saluting dais, where the national anthems of the two countries were played.

The visiting ÷Prime Minister was then given a 7-Gun Salute. He then proceeded to inspect a guard of honour.

After the official welcoming ceremony, the Prime Minister and the President walked to the President’s Office.

Prime Minister Spencer is visiting the Maldives to participate in the Second Meeting of the Cartagena Group/Dialogue for Progressive Action, which will open today. He will address the opening ceremony of the meeting.
