President Dr Mohamed Waheed has advised all winners of the tertiary student loan scheme to make good use of their education opportunities, and to attain good results in their courses. The President made this remark while speaking at a ceremony held this morning, to hand over the letter of attainment of the tertiary student loans.
In his speech, the President noted it was a privilege to be able to secure loan assistance for higher studies, and advised all students not to waste the chance. He said that when choosing a field of studies, one should not only focus on finding employment afterwards, but also on ways to create more jobs for others.
Stressing that building our future was our biggest responsibility in life, the President said that one should not only consider the present when preparing for the future, but also should plan for 20 or 25 years ahead. He further advised all students to work hard and achieve best results in their chosen fields.
