New Algerian Ambassador accredited to the Maldives, Mr Mohammed – Hacene Echraf, presented credentials to President Mohamed Nasheed this afternoon.
During the talk following the presentation of the credentials, Ambassador Hacene Echraf first passed the good wishes of Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika to President Nasheed.
The President noted the historical ties that exist between the Algeria and the Maldives, and discussed possibility of enhancing relations in the areas of trade and economy.
The meeting was also attended by Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed.
