Senior Mediation Advisor of the United Nations Department of Political Affairs, Dr Antje Herrberg has paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Waheed. The meeting was held this morning at the President’s Office.
At the meeting, discussions were focused on the importance of conducting a free and fair electoral process. In this regard, President Waheed reiterated the government commitment to maintain peace and stability in the country during the period.
Dr Herrberg assured the President of the UN’s assistance during the elections, to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections.
