President Nasheed has appointed an atoll councillor and two island councillors.
The newly appointed councillors are:
1. Mr Abdulla Sodiq as the councillor for Addu Atoll
2. Mr Shathir Abdul Rahman as the councillor for Kudahuvadhoo of South Nilandhe Atoll
3. Mr Ashraf Hassan as the councillor for Rin’budhoo of South Nilandhe Atoll
