President Mohamed Nasheed, has today met with the Director of Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS), Lieutenant General (Ret), Ed Smith. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.
Discussions at the meeting were focused on ways to address regional and global security issues and on the comprehensive program of executive education and conference of APCSS.
President noted that the Maldives faced many challenges during this early process of consolidating democracy and that the government was committed to form an inclusive government.
LtG (Ret) Smith said that APCSS would continue to provide opportunities for Maldivians in its comprehensive program of executive education and conferences. He also commended the President’s “energy and enthusiasm to move ahead” and his vision of inclusive government.
