Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed has today met with the Speaker of the Zanzibar House of Representatives, Mr Pandu Ameir Kificho. The meeting was held this morning at the President’s Office.
Discussions were mainly focused on ways to enhance a close relationship between the Maldives and Zanzibar. Discussions were also held on the current political and economic situation of both countries.
Mr. Pandu Ameir Kificho commended the Maldives tourism industry and sought Maldives’ expertise in developing the tourism industry of Zanzibar.
Speaker of Peoples Majilis Abdulla Shahid also attended the Meeting.
