The Foreign Minister concludes visit to attend the high-level OACPS Summit

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid (ODRI), arrived in Malé on Sunday after concluding his visit to attend the 10th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Organization of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS).

The Foreign Minister attended the summit, held in Luanda, Angola, as the Special Envoy of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

During the visit, the Foreign Minister delivered the Maldives’ statement at the Summit and also deposited the Instrument of Accession to the Revised Georgetown Agreement of the OACPS, resulting in full membership in the organisation for the Maldives.

The Foreign Minister was accompanied on the visit by a high-level government delegation. The summit was held from December 6-9, 2022.
